Experience


Mr. Osborne is currently serving as Superintendent and Lead Diver for Melka Marine, Inc. He joined the company in October 1999 as a labor/back-up diver/tender and was promoted to Foreman in 2002 and became Melka Marine’s Superintendent and Lead Diver in 2007. Since 1999 Mr. Osborne has participated in hundreds of marine and land construction projects in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The projects have range in scope and complexity for a variety of private and public sector organizations. The projects include: diver and/or tender on various underwater inspections including penetration dives and dives into contaminated waters, underwater inspections of rail road bridges, underwater and top side inspections and repairs to bridges and piers; repair of marine equipment and vessels; construction and repair of boat houses, ramps and piers; installation of sheet piling, rip rap, etc.

 

Prior to joining Melka Marine, Mr. Osborne gained practical construction and marine experience as a carpenter and deck hand as well as receiving training from the United States Navy.
