Experience
 

Mr. Dudley is currently serving as Melka Marine, Inc.’s Crew Foreman and Equipment Operator. He first worked with Melka Marine in 1980 as a deck hand and then rejoined the company in November 1992 as an Equipment Operator and was promoted to Crew Foreman in May 1993. 

Since 1993 he has had Foreman responsibility for approximately 250 marine and land construction projects. The projects for which he has had responsibility range in scope and complexity for a variety of private and public sector organizations. The projects include: repairs to bridges and piers; repair of marine equipment and vessels; construction and repair of boat houses, ramps and piers; installation of sheet piling, rip rap; tender on various underwater inspections, etc.


Mr. Dudley is Melka Marine’s primary equipment operator. He has over 20 years experience on LinkBelt equipment including Melka Marine’s LS 108 40 Ton Crawler Crane as well as the company’s HSP 18 Ton Hydraulic crane. In addition, he is the primary operator for the 941 Cat Track Loader, the 555 John Deere Track Loader and the Liebour 912 Long Arm Track Excavator.


In addition, to his field experience Mr. Dudley has management experience in many of the projects the company has undertaken. Management duties include all phases of field operations to include overall supervision of tasks, scheduling of personnel at the job site and review and approval of time as well as serving as the company’s alternate field Quality Control Representative and On-Site Safety Manager.


Mr. Dudley holds a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). He has completed the 40 hours of training at the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, Carolinas AGC in their 29 CFR 1926.550 Occupational Safety and Health Standards class. In addition he is trained in hazardous materials awareness and is certified in Standard First Aid and Adult CPR.
